Espacio destinado para la práctica de Actividad Física durante COVID-19 en un establecimiento Educacional de la ciudad de Curicó, Chile

Abstract

Currently, due to the global pandemic, different measures have had to be taken and adaptations generated in many areas, including education. In this sense, classes have been forced to take place from virtuality. In this context, the main objective of this research is to know the spaces available for the practice of physical activity and Physical Education and Health classes for students of an educational establishment in the city of Curicó. For this, a qualitative research was used, through a semi-structured interview, which was directed to the students and their family group, in order to obtain a specific diagnosis of the situation experienced by the families. The results show a limited space for students to practice physical activity and a negative impact on motivational levels as a result of virtual teaching. It was concluded that not all family groups and students have spaces outside their homes, such as green areas, multiple courts, and social venues, among others. However, they use small and adapted spaces, which are located inside the house for the development of thematic classes or some type of physical activity.
