Percepción de profesores en relación con la pertinencia de la priorización curricular en Educación Física y Salud

Abstract

The aim is to know the perception of Physical Education teachers about the propriety of the Curricular Priorization (CP) of the Physical Education and Health subject. This is a pilot study with a quantitative perspective, not an experimental transversal with a descriptive significance and exploratory type. An online survey was taken to active teachers at different schools in the Talca Province, Chile. The principal results show that 80% of the teachers know very well about this instrument (CP), although almost 70% declare that this instrument does not contribute to the integral development of the students. Over 70% of the participants indicates that the CP must be restructured under criteria related to the educational context they are involved, at the same time, almost 80% states that the CP was a positive educative answer during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is concluded that the CP, from the participants' point of view, is not pertinent towards the immediate answer of the Ministry of Education as a proposal of teaching through the prioritized objectives, which means it requires a restructuration in similar situations in the future.
